Is a protection dog safe with children at home?

Yes. Threat discrimination, off-switch and obedience under distraction are foundation work — the dog engages on command and is settled, social and tolerant the rest of the day. Most of our protection grads live with kids under ten.

Which breeds work for genuine protection?

Working line German Shepherds (West and DDR), Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds and select Rottweilers. Pet-line versions of these breeds rarely have the nerve required, which is why we breed and import our own bloodlines.

Personal protection or property protection — what's the difference?

Personal protection dogs travel with the handler and respond to direct threats on command. Property dogs patrol and secure a defined space — yard, business premises or rural block. Many Gold Coast clients run one of each.

How long until the dog is operational?

Six to twelve months from a started young dog to a foundation-trained personal protection dog. If you need the capability sooner, we sell fully trained adult dogs that are ready to handle from day one.

Is owning a protection dog legal in Queensland?

Yes, when handled responsibly. You must meet Queensland dog-control law, secure containment and public-liability cover. We walk every client through the requirements and only release dogs to owners trained to handle them safely.
