When can a Gold Coast puppy start obedience training?

Twelve weeks is ideal — early enough to use the socialisation window, late enough that vaccinations cover Nerang park visits. Adult dogs and rescues retrain just as well; they only need a clearer handover from old habits.

How quickly will I see results?

Owners usually notice meaningful change inside the first fortnight. Reliable off-leash work — including around beach distractions and busy Gold Coast cafes — generally lands between weeks six and twelve, depending on practice between sessions.

Do you train small breeds and family pets too?

Yes. Toy breeds, doodles and rescue mixes make up roughly half our private clientele. Drive-building, food motivation and leash mechanics are tailored to the dog in front of us, not the breed on the paperwork.

Where are the sessions held?

Foundation work happens at our Nerang facility, then we proof commands at real Gold Coast environments — Burleigh headlands, Pacific Fair, Robina dog beaches, ferry terminals. Brisbane and Tweed pickup is available for board clients.

Are corrections or e-collars part of your method?

We lead with markers, drive and clear structure. Tools are introduced only when a dog is mature enough to benefit and only after foundations hold without them. Nothing punitive — clarity, not pressure, drives the result.

Every dog starts with a free phone consultation and an in-person assessment at our Nerang facility. From there we recommend one of three pathways.

Private 1-on-1

Best for owners who want to be hands-on the whole way through, building skill and confidence at home alongside the dog.

Board & Train

Your dog stays at our Gold Coast facility for two to six weeks of immersive daily training, then we hand the trained dog back with multiple owner sessions.

Hybrid Programme

A short board & train followed by ongoing private sessions to lock in long-term reliability.
